A resident was burned during a two-alarm house fire in Torrington Thursday, fire officials said. Four residents are displaced.
A 911 call about the fire at 27 Forest St. came in at 5:27 p.m., and when firefighters arrived three minutes later, there was heavy fire on the back porch and flames extending into the kitchen, the officials said.
All four occupants had left the house, but one had burned hands. The resident was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for treatment, they said.
Firefighters were able to get pets out of the house, and the animals were not injured.
