Three young men are being held after a lengthy federal investigation into an apparent scheme to transport stolen guns from Florida to buyers — including gang members — in Connecticut.
Citing potential danger to the public, a federal judge on Tuesday decided to keep Julian Judge of New Britain jailed until his trial on charges of running guns from Florida to Connecticut.
Judge, 22, was one of three central Connecticut men arrested in connection to the investigation last week. Julian along with Eric Woodie, 30, of New Britain and Dominic Colon-Brown, 27, of Farmington, are charged with conspiring to engage in dealing in firearms without a license and conspiring to transport stolen guns as interstate commerce.
