Four people were displaced by a three-alarm fire in Torrington Thursday night, a fire official said.
No one was injured in the fire, which broke out at 2 Pulaski St. shortly before 10 p.m., according to Deputy Chief David Tripp Jr.
When the first firefighter – a battalion chief -- arrived at the 2 ½-story home, he saw smoke coming from some first-floor windows and called for a second alarm, which brings a second team of firefighters and equipment.
Fire officials then called for a third alarm because of a lack of equipment. One fire engine was tied up with another call and a second had mechanical problems, Tripp said.
