Bob Diaco said he's putting a target on Central Florida, but, really, he is putting a target on his own back.
And you know what? The UConn football coach doesn't give a damn. He seems to relish it.
As he said he might do after UConn's unexpected 37-29 victory over UCF last Nov. 1, Diaco went out and bought a trophy and coined the "rivalry" with UCF the Civil Conflict. He talked about UCF displaying nutmeg on the trophy stand when it lost and UConn displaying a sack of oranges when it lost. There were some giggles in the press room at Rentschler Field that day.
