It’s a weird year in the WNBA, especially for Husky fans who follow the league. For a variety of reasons, Breanna Stewart, Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, and Maya Moore, four of the best to ever play the game, are missing all or most of the season. Even so, three former Huskies managed to earn All-Star nods as Kia Nurse was named a starter, Tina Charles was named a reserve, and rookie Napheesa Collier got in as an injury replacement.
In this women’s basketball episode of the podcast, we discuss the Husky All-Stars, some big wins on the recruiting trail, and Howard Megdal interviews New York Liberty head coach to discuss the success of Charles and Nurse and Bria Hartley, who has carved out a nice role for herself.
