The teenager was dropped off at Waterbury Hospital after shots were fired during a fight in the city, they said early Friday.
According to police, officers were called about 12:20 a.m. to the area of 43 Esther Ave., where shots rang out during some type of clash involving people in two cars. When officers arrived, the vehicles were gone.
One or both of the cars later crashed on Alder Street, police said. Officers went to that scene and found only one car, a Hyundai. They learned that the other vehicle may have been a dark SUV.
While they were investigating, a 17-year-old boy was dropped off at the hospital.
