A male student at Bunnell High School in Stratford was hospitalized Wednesday morning after he used a knife to inflict injury on himself in a classroom, police said.
“As a result the school was temporarily placed in lockdown until officers and medical personnel arrived and the student was transported to a local hospital for treatment,” police said. “He is listed in stable condition.”
The high school’s students and staff were sent home early due to the incident. The board of education “will determine the schedule for the remainder of the school week,” police said.
