Sterling Gibbs was a recruit again – for the third time, in fact - but he was now a grown man, a soon-to-be college graduate.
And when it came to choosing a school to finish his basketball eligibility, he approached it as more a business, less an emotional process.
“With this one, I really wanted to ask questions,” said Gibbs, who chose UConn over Ohio State, Pittsburgh and several other schools this weekend, “and make sure it was a perfect fit. I didn’t want to just be wowed by the campus or the facilities, because I’ve been through that already.
