An overwhelming majority of state troopers voted that they have no confidence in the leadership of Gov. Ned Lamont, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Commissioner James Rovella, and state police Lt. Colonel John Eckersley, one of the highest ranking members of the force.
The state police union reported the results of the vote Tuesday in which more than 83% of the 850 state troopers cast a vote. A largely symbolic move, the vote serves to show a growing divide between troopers and those at the highest levels of leadership.
