A Windsor Locks man was arrested Sunday after he forced his way into an Ellington apartment, held a woman against her will and tried to assault a second woman, state police said.
Irvin, 53, of Spring Street was arrested on charges that include home invasion, first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree strangulation, second-degree assault and criminal attempt to commit first-degree sexual assault, they said.
The attacks happened about 4 p.m. at High Meadow Apartments, 110 Jobs Hill Road, state police said. Irvin forced his way into one woman’s apartment and held the woman before leaving the apartment and going to a common laundry area.
