State Police have responded to 232 crashes on Connecticut roadways since the beginning of the July 4th holiday weekend.
According to the traffic statistics released by the agency Sunday morning, since July 1, troopers have responded to over 5,000 calls for service. Of the 232 crashes they have responded to, 41 resulted in injuries.
Only one accident, resulted in serious injuries to a motorcyclist who struck a car on Route 15 in Orange. The 29-year-old victim was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment.
Since Wednesday, state police have charged 28 individuals with driving under the influence.
