A Bristol man wanted on robbery charges was captured Monday afternoon after trying to hide from authorities in the attic of an apartment complex.
Kelly D. Nixon, 30, was charged by state police for trying to elude police in addition to an arrest warrant for third-degree robbery served by Manchester police, officials said.
Manchester officers initially tried to make contact with Nixon at an Ashford apartment but he fled back into the residence, according to a police report. Because Ashford is a state police jurisdiction, those Manchester officers contacted troopers for help tracking him down and found he is a suspect in “numerous” other robberies across Windham County, report said.
