Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Windsor Mayor Don Trinks, various NAACP representatives and members of the Windsor community gathered Friday outside the Amazon construction site where a noose was found last week to not only denounce the presence of racism in the town, but also demand a call to action from Amazon and the community to bring those responsible for the potential hate crime to justice.
Throughout the last week of April, police responded to reports of a noose, and at least five ropes that could be interpreted as nooses found at the site near Kennedy Road, where a new fulfillment center is being built.
