Stamford police charged a city woman with a deadly stabbing early Saturday after a disturbance at a home on Montauk Drive.

Officers were called to the home about 3:15 a.m. after receiving a call that a man was in the home causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.

When they arrived, they found 50-year-old Welton Harris on the gourd outside with a stab wound to his chest. He was taken to Stamford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

While officers were on their way to the home, police received a call from a woman saying she stabbed the man, police said.
