Thanks to technology and quick-acting cops in two different states, a South Windsor man was arrested Tuesday as soon as he got into a taxi he had hailed with a stolen credit card, police said.
Jahbez E. Copeland, 21, of Ellington Road was charged with illegal use of payment card, they said. He was released on a promise to appear in court May 27.
According to police, they received a call about 10:30 a.m. from a Pennsylvania state trooper. The trooper said that a credit card stolen from a resident there was being used to hail a cab from Ace Taxi in Manchester.
