A 25-year-old who police said fatally stabbed his mother in Stamford last week has been extradited from New York City and is in custody on $2.5 million bail.
Officers discovered the body of Denise McLaughlin, 50, of 48 Manor St. about 9 p.m. Friday after friends called police and said they had not been able to contact her for several days. McLaughlin had multiple stab wounds, police said.
Detectives began investigating and learned that Weathers recently lived at the Manor Street address. Weathers, who also has an address in the Bronx, became a suspect, they said.
