On Friday, former St. John’s forward Sidney Wilson committed to UConn, after the New York Post’s Zach Braziller reported on Wednesday that wing Wilson would transfer from St. John’s, just three months after he gave his pledge to the school over the Huskies as well as over Texas.
Wilson was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2017 and graduated from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, the alma mater of current Husky Jalen Adams and one-time commit Makai Ashton-Langford, who he won the National Prep Championship with.
Per NCAA transfer rules, Wilson must sit out the 2017-18 season, but Kevin Ollie can apply for a waiver.
