Hartford police said they’re trying to find out who shot a New Britain man in the face Wednesday — and where it happened.
The wounded man showed up at Connecticut Children’s, police said about 9:10 p.m. It’s not clear why the 23-year-old was taken to a children’s hospital when Hartford Hospital is next door.

The Major Crimes Division is working with patrol officers to investigate.
