Forecasters predict temperatures will reach into the 90s across Connecticut, which could mark a start of another heat wave as the hot weather lingers into early next week.
The National Weather Service predicts the high temperature for central Connecticut to be about 93 degrees with clear, sunny skies.
Cities and towns have opened a limited number of cooling centers to help keep residents safe, but precautions remain given the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re expecting a significant heat wave over the next few days, and we want to provide these additional locations to help residents beat the heat,” said Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin.
