Katie Lou Samuelson came up big for UConn Women’s Basketball in their 92nd and 93rd consecutive wins. She scored a career-high 34 points in Tuesday’s 98-58 victory over Tulsa on the road and followed it up with 32 more on Sunday against Tulane in a 100-56 drubbing of the Green Wave.
For her efforts, she received the American Athletic Conference player of the week award.
Samuelson played 29 minutes in both contests, with some very efficient performances. Against Tulsa, she went 13-for-18 from the field, including 7-for-12 from behind the three-point line. She added two rebounds, an assist and a steal as well.
