Ronan, Williams named conference player of the week

UConn men’s hockey is a winner of five straight games after taking victories over No. 16 Boston College and Brown over the weekend. Senior forward Corey Ronan was a big part of those successes and was named Hockey East co-player of the week.

He had three points over the two games, lighting the lamp twice in the home win against the Eagles. He netted the game-winner on a difficult shot from the left circle and also notched a shorthanded goal.

Ronan also had an assist on Jesse Schwartz’ goal on Saturday against Brown and contributed a 9-for-11 penalty killing performance on the weekend, one that was very active during the game against Boston College.
