Rodney Purvis became the latest former UConn Husky to sign an NBA contract on Wednesday, as the Orlando Magic signed him to a two-year contract. The 2018-19 season is non-guaranteed.
Purvis had been with the Magic on two separate 10-day contracts from Orlando’s G-League affiliate, the Lakeland Magic. One player can sign two 10-day contracts before the NBA team must sign him for the rest of the season or release him.
The Magic valued him highly enough to not want to release him and has been performing well in his limited NBA action.
