Report: UConn men’s basketball pauses activities again due to positive COVID-19 test

According to multiple media reports, the UConn men’s basketball team is pausing activities after a positive COVID-19 test within the program. It is unclear at this time whether the positive test was from a player, coach or staff member.

News of the Huskies’ positive test was first reported by Jeff Jacobs of Hearst Media.

UConn has not yet released a statement confirming this news, but the program did take a 14-day hiatus after an unnamed player tested positive almost exactly one month ago on Nov. 5. It is unclear how long the program will pause team activities since the CDC has altered their recommended quarantine period from 14 days to 7-10 days depending on symptoms since the Huskies last positive test.
