UConn women’s basketball grinded out a 73-62 victory in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday afternoon. Ohio State played the Huskies tight throughout three quarters, but the Huskies were able to pull away in the final quarter.
Crystal Dangerfield led the way for the Huskies, scoring a season high 23 points on 8-15 shooting, including four triples. She had UConn’s last six points to close out the win, and also added six rebounds and six assists in the contest.
UConn started out rather cold on offense, hitting just two of their first seven shots. Five minutes into the game, UConn had just five points and trailed by two.
