Meriden police are investigating a shooting Tuesday morning outside the Meriden Mall, where at least one person opened fire on another car as they sped through the parking lot.
It was not clear whether the other car was hit by the gunfire and police had received no reports of victims as of Tuesday evening, Sgt. Darrin McKay said.
The incident occurred at about 11:50 a.m. when police received a report of shots fired and learned one car had chased another through the mall parking lot, McKay said. An unidentified person in the chase vehicle fired the shots at the other car, but no other information was immediately available.
