The crash happened shortly after midnight Sunday at the intersection of East and Sunset Hill avenues, they said. Officers found a heavily-damaged car that had struck a tree.
Firefighters extricated the driver – the only person in the car – and the person was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release information about the driver.
Crash investigators were called to the intersection to try to find out what caused the crash. Anyone with information that may help them is asked to call Officer Chris Wasilewski at 203-854-3035.
