A Hartford man has been charged with operating under the influence and other offenses in a fatal motor vehicle crash on Washington Street last weekend, police in Hartford said Saturday.
Jayquan Hemingway, 26, of 207 Wethersfield Ave. was driving north on Washington Street just after 4 a.m. on May 17 when he did not stop for a red light, police said. Hemingway’s white Infiniti M37 crashed into a red Pontiac Grand Prix traveling west on Retreat Avenue at the intersection with Washington, police said.
Eladio LeBron, 44, of 103 Van Block Ave., was a rear-seat passenger in the Pontiac and suffered serious injuries.
