Police identify Hartford man struck, killed by motorcycle

Hartford police are still investigating a fatal crash Sunday night on in which a motorcycle struck and killed a pedestrian on Main Street in the Clay Arsenal neighborhood.

Police were dispatched to the scene at 1670 Main St. at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday and officers found both Greene and the 26-year-old motorcycle operator injured, Lt. Paul Cicero has said. Police have not publicly identified the motorcycle operator.

Greene was taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. The motorcycle operator also was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe the motorcycle was northbound on Main Street approaching Seyms Street and the pedestrian was crossing Main Street when the crash happened, Cicero has said.
