Investigators have identified persons of interest in the deadly shooting of a 16-year-old in Windsor Locks, police said.
“We have persons of interest and we are moving on them, working on them as hard as we can,” he said. He didn’t know if the person suspected of pulling the trigger has been interviewed; that person is older than the victim -- who police have refused to identify because of his age.
Elijah Ortega, a basketball player at Windsor Locks High School, died, said Shawn Parkhurst, superintendent of schools. He had just finished his junior year, Parkhurst said in a letter to the school community Thursday.
