The Bristol man who police say fatally stabbed his long-time girlfriend Sunday night called a friend and relatives to tell them what he had done.
“I think we’re up to four,” said Det. Lt. Kevin Morrell Tuesday of the number of phoned confessions.
Kevin Bard, 54, of Vance Drive was charged with murder, criminal trespass and four counts of violation of a protection order. He is in custody on $1 million bail. The trespass charge stems from the fact he was not supposed to be there with the woman under the protective order.
Police think a friend was Bard’s first call.
