Diante Willoughby, the 19-year-old Bridgeport man charged with murder in the killing of a 14-year-old boy, claimed to police that the victim sent him sexually explicit photos of himself and tried to blackmail him, according to court documents.
During the same interview with Bridgeport detectives, Willoughby admitted to luring Jose Nunez from his home, then driving him to a remote location in Oxford where he said he strangled the boy.
The veracity of Willougby’s claims about the photos could not be independently confirmed, and police continue to seek the public’s help in their investigation of Jose Nunez’s violent death.
