The 43-year-old Plymouth woman accused of murdering her daughter and critically injuring her son began having psychiatric crises earlier this year, and before that worked successfully as a substitute teacher in central Connecticut, her lawyer told a judge Monday.
Naomi Bell was hospitalized twice — for more than two weeks each time — this year, but before that had no history of psychological problems and has no criminal record, attorney Jassette Henry said during her arraignment.
Bell has been jailed since state police arrested her following a shooting Friday evening at her family’s 104 N.
