A 37-year-old New Haven man remains hospitalized after being involved in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday night.
The accident took place just before 9 p.m. around Sherman Avenue, police said. Investigators think the man was getting out of a car near his home and began crossing the street when a silver Honda Accord hit him near double yellow street lines, they said.
“The Honda continued traveling on Sherman Avenue and turned left to travel westbound on Whalley Avenue toward Winthrop Avenue,” New Haven police Capt. Anthony Duff said. “The vehicle is a silver Honda Accord. It is an older, four-door, early to mid-2000′s year car.
