New Haven police: Man shot in parked car drove into building before dying

A man who was shot while sitting in a parked car drove the vehicle into a commercial building in New Haven before dying of his wounds, police said.

New Haven police responded to the scene of the crash on Grand Avenue at about 8:30 p.m., police said.

Officers found a 32-year-old local man, who has not been identified, in his vehicle with a gunshot wound. Police believe the man had been sitting in his parked car on Grand Avenue when he was shot, and that he then drove across the street and crashed into a building.
