As it works to reorganize after filing for bankruptcy in April, Norwalk-based Frontier Communications Corp. said Tuesday it has appointed a new president and chief executive who led the turnaround of a global wireless and wireline provider in the United Kingdom.
Nick Jeffrey, who has three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, most recently as CEO of Vodaphone UK, will succeed Bernie Han in leading the company, as of March 1. He was selected following a search of candidates inside and outside of the company.
Frontier, which bought Connecticut’s Southern New England Telephone Co. in 2014, was weighed down by debt from acquisitions that failed to boost the bottom line and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April.
