A new program will help qualified Connecticut homes financially impacted by COVID-19 with up to $10,000 in rent relief and $1,500 in help paying for utilities, the state announced Monday afternoon.
“UniteCT provides Connecticut tenants and landlords a much-needed fresh start and further assistance so our families can get back on their feet without worrying about the roof over their heads,” Gov. Ned Lamont said.
Funded by December’s stimulus package and the American Rescue Plan signed by President Joe Biden last week, UniteCT is organized by various housing counseling agencies, nonprofits and legal organizations, according to a news release.
