Attendance is on the rise for UConn, not so much for some of our FBS friends in the area.
It wasn't so long ago, back in 2010, when UConn Football games were pushing capacity, averaging 38,248 fans per contest. Those numbers obviously took a dip as the program floundered under Paul Pasqualoni.
In 2014, Bob Diaco's first season at the helm, UConn averaged about 27,400 fans per game. The Huskies have finally started moving in the right direction in 2015 though, with attendance up 3 percent and future prospects looking bright.
Attendance at Rentschler Field will continue to be monitored closely as UConn makes the case for a "power conference" bid.
