The Naugatuck Fire Marshal’s office Thursday released a video of an illegal fireworks display that occurred on the same night as the cities annual display in hopes that someone will turn in the people who set them off.

The fire marshal and the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit have been investigating the detonation of the illegal fireworks during the Borough of Naugatuck’s annual fireworks show on Breens Field on July 2.

The illegal display started at about 9:40 p,m. and lasted for about 30 seconds. The end of the video appears to show some of the fireworks misfiring and exploding either on the ground or just off of it and a large ball of fire can be seen.
