A Naugatuck family helped police bust an accused drug dealer Sunday evening after two children bought marijuana “edibles” from the dealer, one of whom was hospitalized when he fell ill after consuming some of the drugs.
Xavier Alexander Roldan, 21, and a 17-year-old girl were arrested and charged assault, reckless endangerment and dozens of additional drug charges.
Police ultimately recovered almost five pounds of marijuana from Roldan and the teen girl, thousands of dollars in cash, and hundreds of marijuana and nicotine vape cartridges, Naugatuck police said.
The unusual drug bust began hours earlier when a 13-year-old and 10-year-old consumed marijuana edibles and were discovered by their family.
