A Middletown woman has been charged with assault on a public safety officer after allegedly spitting blood on two Middletown police officers during an arrest.
Melissa Mishler, 33, of 64 Burr Ave., was also charged Wednesday with resisting arrest, breach of peace and failure to submit to finger printing. She was held on $250,000 bond. She was scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court on Thursday.
According to police, officers were called to the area of Cottage Street and Burr Avenue around 10 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a disturbance. Officers discovered Mishler lying down in front of 38 Burr Ave.
