Georgia police have captured the man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Middletown woman two days after he was spotted fleeing the scene in Connecticut.
William Bigaud, 37, remained in custody in Georgia on Wednesday and will be extradited to Middletown on charges of murder, home invasion, reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor, Middletown police said late Wednesday night.
Police have been searching for Bigaud since they were dispatched to a domestic violence incident Monday and found a woman stabbed to death in a Green Street residence, Lt. Heather Desmond said at the time.
