Meriden police are searching for the driver and car that struck and killed an elderly pedestrian Thursday afternoon on Old Colony Road.
The crash occurred at about 2:20 p.m., when police were called to 817 Old Colony Rd. and found an older man in the roadway who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Witnesses and surveillance video show a black Honda Accord driving south on the road before striking the man and speeding away south on Old Colony Road and then east on Gypsy Lane, police said.
