A Meriden man is facing murder charges after he stabbed a man to death during a fight at a Wallingford cafe Saturday, police said.
Wallingford police responded to the Corner Café on Church Street at about 10:25 p.m. Saturday and found a local man laying on the ground of the parking lot. Police said the man, 32-year-old Ernest Cipolli, was bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
In their investigation of the incident, Wallingford police determined that Cipolli had fought with 23-year-old Meriden resident Kristopher Carlson. During the fight, police said, Carlson is believed to have pulled out a knife and stabbed Cipolli several times, police said.
