Last season, Mason Feole carried the mantle of elite UConn baseball left-handers when he was named to be an All-American by a litany of publications, including Baseball America, Perfect Game and the ABCA/Rawlings.
He had a 2.50 ERA, striking out 120 batters in 100 2⁄3 innings, 35 of which were looking thanks to a nasty mixture of fastball, curveball and changeup. His overall strikeout number was tied for first in the American Athletic Conference and 19th in the country, despite many above him on the list logging more innings and pitching deeper into the NCAA Tournament than he did.
