Plugging into renewed enthusiasm for drive-in movies during the coronavirus pandemic, a Manchester theater owner is proposing two outdoor screens on his 5.7-acre lot.
Ali Davis, owner of Parkade Cinemas & Entertainment, Inc., will make his pitch to the planning and zoning commission on June 15. Davis proposes to begin showing movies on one outdoor screen in the front lot of his building on June 20 and on another screen behind the building later in the year.
“If if it wasn’t for this whole pandemic, I’m not sure I even would have thought of it... but this meets all the criteria (for social distancing and other precautions)," he said.
