Police have arrested the 26-year-old they said stabbed an older man during a weekend argument in Manchester.
John Blackshear has been charged with first-degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon, police said. He is in custody on $350,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Hartford Wednesday.
According to police, Blackshear argued with a 56-year-od man outside 213 Center St. Saturday. During the argument, he asked Jillian Holden, 18, to get him a knife, and he then used it to stab the older man, who survived.
Police found the victim bleeding, but conscious, on the back steps of 219 Center St.
