MANCHESTER — A Manchester mother was arrested Friday in connection with the death of her 3-year-old son, who was unresponsive when police responded to her home in the early hours of Thanksgiving 2020.
Alesha Cain, 30, faces charges of first-degree manslaughter, first-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor and cruelty to persons, according to police.
Officers called to the Oakland Heights Apartments just before 2:45 a.m. on Nov. 26 tried to revive the child before transporting him to Connecticut Children’s hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
