Manchester minister faces new charges of child abuse

The head of a Manchester home-based ministry, who already faces charges of assaulting a baby, was charged recently with sexually abusing an older boy a decade ago.

Robert Nichols, 41, was arrested earlier this month on charges of third-degree sexual assault and impairing the morals of children. He is free after posting bail of $100,000 and is due to appear in court on June 11.

Police say the victim in the recent arrest came forward after learning that Nichols was arrested in 2018 on charges he brutally abused an eight-month-old. He is accused in that case of first-degree assault, risk of injury to a child and intentional cruelty to persons.
