A Manchester man who crashed his car Monday evening in South Windsor was wanted for a 2001 sexual assault in Massachusetts, according to police.
Humberto R. Guzman, 42, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after the crash and that is when police discovered the outstanding warrant for his arrest in Framingham, Massachusetts, Sgt. Mark Cleverdon said.
Gusman was behind the wheel when he struck a utility pole at about 7:25 p.m. Monday near Route 5 and the Interstate 291 eastbound on-ramp, Cleverdon said. Officers believed he was impaired and Guzman agreed to try a field sobriety test but failed and was arrested.
