The discovery of a dead man and woman in New Haven has sparked a criminal investigation, police said.
Someone found them in a Winthrop Avenue home shortly before 11:30 a.m. Sunday and called 911. Both the man and woman had been “severely injured,” police said.
Detectives from the Major Crimes and Bureau of Identification were called to the scene. The road was closed between Chapel Street and Derby Avenue while they questioned people and gathered evidence.
